The Australasian Transport Research Forum (ATRF) is an annual event that discusses the policy, research and transport planning for the private and public centres in New Zealand and Australia.
The ATRF was established in 1975 with the goal of setting up a forum for the discussion of transport planning, practice research and policy. The forum has continuously grown since its establishment, with New Zealand entering the forum in 1988.
With the exceptions on the years 1981, 1995 and 2000, the forum has been held every year since 1975. Each event hosted by a different transport organisation. This years (2011) forum will be hosted by the South Australian Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure and the University of South Australia in Adelaide.
